As investiga\u00e7\u00f5es, sobre dois acidentes ocorridos no ano passado que resultaram em 346 \u00f3bitos, constataram que a companhia desrespeitou regras e pressionou autoridades de regula\u00e7\u00e3o a desconsiderar fatores de seu projeto, na tentativa da Boeing recuperar o atraso em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 rival europeia Airbus.<\/p>\n

As quedas \u201cforam a horrenda culmina\u00e7\u00e3o de uma s\u00e9rie de suposi\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00e9cnicas injustificadas pelos engenheiros da Boeing, falta de transpar\u00eancia da parte dos gestores da empresa, e fiscaliza\u00e7\u00e3o fortemente insuficiente pela Administra\u00e7\u00e3o Federal da Avia\u00e7\u00e3o (FAA<\/strong>) \u2013como resultado pernicioso de captura regulat\u00f3ria por parte da FAA com respeito \u00e0s suas responsabilidades de fiscalizar a Boeing de maneira robusta e garantir a seguran\u00e7a dos passageiros\u201d, salientou o documento.<\/p>\n

Relat\u00f3rio aponta para defeitos no sensor do 737 MAX<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A fabricante norte-americana enfrenta m\u00faltiplas investiga\u00e7\u00f5es desde 2019, quando um de seus modelos 737 MAX<\/strong> operado pela Ethiopian Airlines caiu ap\u00f3s somente cinco meses de opera\u00e7\u00e3o e outro da Lion Air, na Indon\u00e9sia, caiu no mar.<\/p>\n

De acordo com as apura\u00e7\u00f5es, ambas as fatalidades foram causadas por um defeito em um sensor que acionou de maneira indevida um sistema autom\u00e1tico de preven\u00e7\u00e3o de estol, o que for\u00e7ou o bico da aeronave a se inclinar para baixo. Os pilotos da Lion Air e da Ethiopian Airlines procuraram, sem sucesso, corrigir a altitude dos avi\u00f5es, por\u00e9m foram impedidos pelo sistema.<\/p>\n

Segundo relat\u00f3rio, a Boeing<\/strong> persuadiu a FAA<\/strong> a n\u00e3o classificar o sistema de preven\u00e7\u00e3o de estol como \u201ccr\u00edtico para a seguran\u00e7a\u201d. Com isso, pilotos nem mesmo tinham conhecimento de sua exist\u00eancia antes de come\u00e7ar a operar o modelo.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m disso, a companhia ocultou das autoridades os resultados de testes internos que demonstravam que, no caso de o piloto demorar mais de 10 segundos para reconhecer que o sistema tinha sido ativado erroneamente, as consequ\u00eancias poderiam ser \u201ccatastr\u00f3ficas\u201d.<\/p>\n

Os investigadores tamb\u00e9m indicaram, que um alerta, que poderia ter sinalizado um problema aos pilotos, n\u00e3o estava funcionando corretamente na maioria dos modelos. Nesse sentido, o documento mostrou que a empresa omitiu esse fato dos pilotos e reguladores, continuando a colocar seu novo modelo em opera\u00e7\u00e3o em todo o mundo.<\/p>\n

Boeing busca estabilizar situa\u00e7\u00e3o e corrigir falhas<\/h2>\n

H\u00e1 mais de um ano, a companhia trabalha para corrigir as falhas de seu modelo e voltar a comercializar o produtos no mercado. Nos \u00faltimos dias, a empresa comunicou que espera retomar as entregas desses jatos ainda no terceiro trimestre.<\/p>\n\t

A fabricante ressaltou que \u201co projeto reformulado do MAX foi revisado de forma intensiva, dentro da empresa e pelas autoridades regulat\u00f3rias, e envolveu mais de 375 mil horas de trabalho de engenharia e testes, e 1,3 mil voos de teste. Assim que a FAA e outras organiza\u00e7\u00f5es regulat\u00f3rias determinarem que o MAX pode voltar a operar de forma segura, ele ser\u00e1 um dos avi\u00f5es avaliados com mais rigor na hist\u00f3ria\u201d.<\/p>\n

Apesar de a Boeing<\/strong> ter contornado as regras, na tentativa de apressar a certifica\u00e7\u00e3o do 737 MAX, o comit\u00ea do Congresso dos Estados Unidos entendeu que a FAA tamb\u00e9m foi complacente em seus esfor\u00e7os de fiscaliza\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\t
