A empresa qu\u00edmica e farmac\u00eautica alem\u00e3 Bayer<\/strong> informou nessa ter\u00e7a-feira (4) que anotou um preju\u00edzo l\u00edquido<\/a> de \u20ac 9,5 bilh\u00f5es (cerca de R$ 58 bilh\u00f5es)\u00a0 no segundo trimestre de 2020, revertendo o resultado positivo de \u20ac 404 milh\u00f5es (cerca de R$ 2,5 bilh\u00f5es) registrado no mesmo trimestre em 2019.<\/p>\t

O\u00a0Ebitda<\/strong> (lucro antes de juros, impostos, deprecia\u00e7\u00e3o e amortiza\u00e7\u00e3o) ajustado<\/a> da Bayer passou de \u20ac 2,73 bilh\u00f5es entre abril e junho do ano passado, para \u20ac 2,88 bilh\u00f5es no per\u00edodo equivalente nesse ano, representando um crescimento de 5,6%.<\/p>\n

Por sua vez, as vendas da companhia alem\u00e3 passaram de \u20ac 10,71 bilh\u00f5es no segundo trimestre de 2019, para \u20ac 10,05 bilh\u00f5es, o que equivale a uma queda de 6,2%. O resultado rompeu uma sequ\u00eancia de 5 trimestres consecutivos de avan\u00e7o no faturamento.<\/p>\n

Segundo o documento, a Europa, o Oriente M\u00e9dio e a \u00c1frica foram as regi\u00f5es onde as vendas anotaram o maior recuo, de 11,3%, enquanto a Am\u00e9rica Latina ficou em segundo lugar, ao passo que as vendas ca\u00edram 6,4% na regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

O comunicado ainda salientou que a receita<\/strong> <\/a>no segmento de atendimento ao consumidor caiu 16,7%, enquanto a queda foi de 9,7% no segmento de produtos farmac\u00eauticos.<\/p>\n

A empresa explicou que os resultados do trimestre finalizado em junho desse ano, foram impactados pelos efeitos da pandemia do novo coronav\u00edrus<\/strong> (Covid-19).<\/a><\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m disso, destacou que os n\u00fameros foram reflexo do acordo judicial que foi assinado em meados de junho para finalizar processos nos EUA sobre contesta\u00e7\u00f5es de que o herbicida Roundup<\/strong> causaria c\u00e2ncer.<\/p>\n

Em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao ano fiscal de 2020, a companhia projeta que as vendas sem opera\u00e7\u00f5es descontinuadas somem \u20ac 44 bilh\u00f5es o acumulado do ano, com um crescimento de 1%. Vale destacar que a previs\u00e3o anterior era para um crescimento entre 3% e 4% nas vendas.<\/p>\n

Acordo da Bayer para encerrar processos nos EUA<\/h2>\n

A Bayer anunciou em meados de junho que depois de, aproximadamente, um ano de negocia\u00e7\u00f5es, fez um acordo de at\u00e9 US$ 10,9 bilh\u00f5es (cerca de R$ 55 bilh\u00f5es) para finalizar processos nos EUA<\/strong> relacionados a contesta\u00e7\u00f5es de que o Roundup<\/strong> causaria c\u00e2ncer.<\/p>\n\t
