O processo administrativo foi instaurado pela Superintend\u00eancia de Rela\u00e7\u00f5es com o Mercado e Intermedi\u00e1rios (SMI), que prop\u00f4s a responsabiliza\u00e7\u00e3o dos acusados por n\u00e3o terem atuado com cautela para impedir ou contestar a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de condi\u00e7\u00f5es artificiais de oferta, demanda e pre\u00e7o, nas opera\u00e7\u00f5es de compra e venda realizadas entre Morgan Stanley Uruguay e FIM CP LS Investimento no Exterior, no dia 30 de abril de 2015 e 5 de maio de 2014, envolvendo 4,5 milh\u00f5es de a\u00e7\u00f5es PN de classe B de emiss\u00e3o da <strong>Eletrobras<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>O caso acomete uma infra\u00e7\u00e3o ao art. 14, II, da Instru\u00e7\u00e3o CVM 306, destacou a autarquia. O valor corresponde a um lucro de US$ 1,01 por a\u00e7\u00e3o e uma queda de 30% em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com o mesmo intervalo do ano passado.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com o banco, a queda foi puxada por conta da crise da pandemia do novo coronav\u00edrus. O resultado trimestral do Morgan Stanley frustrou as expectativas dos analistas, que estimavam lucro de US$ 1,16 por a\u00e7\u00e3o no primeiro trimestre do ano. Vale destacar que no primeiro trimestre de 2019, o lucro l\u00edquido foi de US$ 2,4 bilh\u00f5es ou US$ 1,39 por a\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>A receita do <strong>Morgan Stanley<\/strong> no trimestre encerrado em mar\u00e7o deste ano caiu 7,8%, passando de US$ 10,3 bilh\u00f5es para US$ 9,49 bilh\u00f5es.
