O Uber<\/strong> registrou um crescimento de seu preju\u00edzo<\/a> de 190% no primeiro trimestre de 2020. O aplicativo de transporte divulgou seu resultado trimestral nesta quinta-feira (7).<\/p>\t

Segundo o documento, o Uber registrou um resultado negativo de US$ 2,936 bilh\u00f5es (cerca de R$ 17 bilh\u00f5es) entre janeiro e mar\u00e7o deste ano, contra um resultado negativo de US$ 1,012 bilh\u00e3o no mesmo per\u00edodo de 2019.<\/p>\n

O efeito da pandemia de coronav\u00edrus (covid-19)<\/a> aparece evidente no balan\u00e7o do aplicativo, pois o faturamento do transporte passageiro diminuiu de 5%, passando de US$ 11,446 bilh\u00f5es no primeiro trimestre de 2019 para US$ 10,874 bilh\u00f5es no primeiro trimestre de 2020.<\/p>\n

Por sua vez, o faturamento do setor de entrega de comida (Uber Eats), aumentou de 52% na compara\u00e7\u00e3o, passando de US$ 3,071 bilh\u00f5es para US$ 4,683 bilh\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

O faturamento total com as reservas cresceu de 8% na compara\u00e7\u00e3o anual, alcan\u00e7ando US$ 15,8 bilh\u00f5es. Enquanto a receita total cresceu 14% em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao ano anterior.<\/p>\n

O EBITDA ajustado ficou negativo em US$ 612 milh\u00f5es, registrando uma melhora de 30% em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao mesmo per\u00edodo do ano passado, quando tinha ficado tamb\u00e9m negativo em US$ 869 milh\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

Uber duramente atingido pela pandemia<\/h2>\n

A companhia tamb\u00e9m informou que foi duramente atingida pela crise causada pelo coronav\u00edrus (covid-19)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cEnquanto nosso neg\u00f3cio de corridas foi duramente atingido pela pandemia em curso, tomamos medidas r\u00e1pidas para preservar a for\u00e7a de nosso balan\u00e7o, focar recursos adicionais no Uber Eats e nos preparar para qualquer cen\u00e1rio de recupera\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d, declarou Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO do aplicativo.<\/p>\n

\u201cJuntamente com o aumento no fornecimento de alimentos, somos encorajados pelos primeiros sinais que estamos vendo nos mercados que est\u00e3o come\u00e7ando a se abrir novamente. O faturamento do Uber continua se concentrando na regi\u00e3o “Estados Unidos e Canad\u00e1”, com quase 2\/3 do total mundial. Entretanto, a regi\u00e3o onde o aplicativo mais cresce \u00e9 a “\u00c1sia Pac\u00edfico”, com um aumento de 32% no faturamento.\u00a0 A Am\u00e9rica Latina \u00e9 a regi\u00e3o onde o faturamento cresce menos, com um aumento de apenas 10% na compara\u00e7\u00e3o anual.<\/p>\n
