No entanto, o trono de Buffett pode ter encontrado um rival \u00e0 altura: Wilmot Kidd, executivo-chefe da Central Securities.<\/p>\t

Kidd \u00e9 um investidor pouco conhecido e costuma fugir dos holofotes, mas seu trabalho no mercado financeiro consegue n\u00e3o s\u00f3 rivalizar com o fundo da Berkshire Hathaway<\/strong> (BERK34<\/a>), de Buffet, como superar as proje\u00e7\u00f5es do or\u00e1culo nos \u00faltimos 20 anos, segundo apura\u00e7\u00e3o feita pelo Wall Street Journal<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Ao longo dos quase 50 anos sob o comando de Kidd, a Central Securities <\/strong>\u00e9 um fundo de investimentos fechados que conta com US$ 1,3 bilh\u00e3o em ativos.<\/p>\n

O fundo teve um retorno anualizado de 14,5% com dividendos<\/a> reinvestidos desde que Kid assumiu o controle, superando um retorno de 11,7% para o S&P 500<\/strong> no mesmo per\u00edodo, disse o WSJ.<\/p>\n\t

\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/picture>\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/p>\n\n\n

Wilmot Kidd<\/strong> assumiu a Central Securities em 1974, quando o fundo fechado tinha US $ 34 milh\u00f5es em ativos sob gest\u00e3o, informou a Forbes. Kidd, agora com 80 anos e prestes a se aposentar no final deste m\u00eas, aumentou esse n\u00famero para US$ 1,3 bilh\u00e3o em 30 de setembro deste ano.<\/p>\n

A estrat\u00e9gia de investimentos de Wilmot Kidd e Warren Buffet<\/h2>\n

A estrat\u00e9gia de Kidd se assemelha em grande parte com a adotada por Warren Buffet<\/a>. Entre elas, est\u00e1 a pr\u00e1tica de investir pensando no longo prazo, mantendo suas a\u00e7\u00f5es por d\u00e9cadas<\/strong>. A taxa de rotatividade anual do portf\u00f3lio da Central nos \u00faltimos 15 anos \u00e9 de 11%.<\/p>\n\t

O m\u00e9todo deu certo. Como exemplo, a Central gastou cerca de US$ 6 milh\u00f5es em 1987 por uma participa\u00e7\u00e3o na Analog Devices, que em setembro deste ano alcan\u00e7ou US$ 75 milh\u00f5es, de acordo com arquivos da\u00a0Securities and Exchange Commission<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Kidd tamb\u00e9m imitou a estrat\u00e9gia de Buffett de investir em empresas privadas. A participa\u00e7\u00e3o mais valiosa da Central \u00e9 estimada em US$ 293 milh\u00f5es, no Plymouth Rock<\/strong>, uma seguradora de autom\u00f3veis e propriedades n\u00e3o listada. O fundo gastou apenas US$ 700 mil para estabelecer essa posi\u00e7\u00e3o em 1982, mostram os arquivos da SEC.<\/p>\n\t
