Foram 198,6 mil unidades vendidas no m\u00eas passado, de acordo com a<strong> Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Nacional dos Fabricantes de Ve\u00edculos Automotores<\/strong> (Anfavea).<\/p>\n<p>O resultado das <strong>vendas<\/strong> abrange os segmentos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>carros;<\/li>\n<li>comerciais leves;<\/li>\n<li>caminh\u00f5es;<\/li>\n<li>e \u00f4nibus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apesar da ascens\u00e3o anual, na <strong>compara\u00e7\u00e3o com janeiro<\/strong>, as <strong>vendas<\/strong> tiveram <strong>contra\u00e7\u00e3o de 0,6%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>No<strong> primeiro bimestre<\/strong> deste ano, os <strong>licenciamentos<\/strong> somam\u00a0398,4 mil unidades. A f\u00e1brica de <strong>S\u00e3o Bernardo<\/strong> produzia caminh\u00f5es e o modelo <strong>Fiesta.\u00a0<\/strong>O custo dessa opera\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 de cerca US$ 460 milh\u00f5es, conforme a montadora.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA <strong>Ford<\/strong> est\u00e1 comprometida com a <strong>Am\u00e9rica do Sul<\/strong> por meio da constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um neg\u00f3cio rent\u00e1vel e sustent\u00e1vel, fortalecendo a oferta de produtos, criando <strong>experi\u00eancias positivas<\/strong> para nossos consumidores, e atuando com um modelo de neg\u00f3cios mais \u00e1gil, compacto e eficiente\u201d, informou Lyle Watters, <strong>presidente da Ford Am\u00e9rica do Sul<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A decis\u00e3o de deixar o <strong>mercado de caminh\u00f5es<\/strong> foi tomada depois de diversos meses em que foram procuradas alternativas. Entre as possibilidades estudadas estavam:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>poss\u00edveis parcerias;<\/li>\n<li>ou a venda da opera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Para continuar mantendo a f\u00e1brica em atividade teria sido <strong>necess\u00e1rio<\/strong> investir um <strong>volume expressivo<\/strong> de recursos.
