O trimestre encerrou com um lucro antes de impostos de US$ 9,5 milh\u00f5es, contra uma perda de US$ 16,7 milh\u00f5es durante o mesmo per\u00edodo de 2020, conforme informou o Mercado Livre.<\/p>\n

A receita l\u00edquida<\/a> do primeiro trimestre foi de US$ 1,4 bilh\u00e3o, um aumento ano a ano de 111,4% em d\u00f3lares e 158,4% em moeda constante. A opera\u00e7\u00e3o no Brasil representa 56% da receita l\u00edquida total da companhia, tendo alcan\u00e7ado US$ 768,7 milh\u00f5es, crescimento de 93% em d\u00f3lar e 139% em real, ano contra ano.<\/p>\n

O volume de vendas (GMV<\/a>) foi de US$ 6,1 bilh\u00f5es, representando um crescimento ano a ano de 77,4% em d\u00f3lar e 114,3% em moeda constante – 72,9% desse valor prov\u00e9m de transa\u00e7\u00f5es feitas em dispositivos m\u00f3veis.<\/p>\n

O Brasil foi um dos destaques durante o trimestre, com crescimento de 84% em volume de vendas, em moeda constante, com avan\u00e7o sequencial de 8 pontos percentuais contra o quarto trimestre de 2020. Foram vendidos 222 milh\u00f5es de itens, o que significa um crescimento ano a ano de 110,2%.<\/p>\n

A empresa informa que foram enviados 208,1 milh\u00f5es de itens por meio do Mercado Envios, plataforma de log\u00edstica da companhia. O n\u00famero representa aumento de 130,7% em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao mesmo per\u00edodo do ano anterior. No Brasil, a penetra\u00e7\u00e3o da rede log\u00edstica pr\u00f3pria atingiu 83% do total das entregas no per\u00edodo, versus 79% do quarto trimestre de 2020.<\/p>\n\t

Al\u00e9m disso, o volume total de pagamentos (TPV – Total Payment Volume) processados do Mercado Pago no trimestre foi de US$ 14,7 bilh\u00f5es, um aumento ano a ano de 81,8% em d\u00f3lares e 129,2% em moeda constante. No per\u00edodo, foram realizadas 630,1 milh\u00f5es de transa\u00e7\u00f5es, o que representa um aumento de 116,7%.<\/p>\n

O volume total de pagamentos fora da plataforma atingiu US$ 8,5 bilh\u00f5es, com um crescimento ano a ano de 82,5% em d\u00f3lares e 136,4% em moeda constante. Foram 478,9 milh\u00f5es de pagamentos no trimestre, representando um crescimento ano a ano de 120,4%.<\/p>\n
