A Royal Dutch Shell<\/strong> (RDSA34) divulgou nesta quinta-feira (4) que teve um preju\u00edzo de US$ 21,7 bilh\u00f5es em 2020. A companhia anglo-holandesa se junta a tamb\u00e9m brit\u00e2nica BP e aos grupos produtores de petr\u00f3leo americanos no grupo das que tiveram grandes d\u00e9ficits or\u00e7ament\u00e1rios no ano passado.<\/p>\t

O resultado de hoje \u00e9 o primeiro preju\u00edzo anual<\/strong> desde a fus\u00e3o da Royal Dutch Petroleum com a Shell, que ocorreu em 2005. Na ter\u00e7a, a BP, maior rival da Shell no Reino Unido, divulgou que teve em 2020 o seu pior resultado da \u00faltima d\u00e9cada.<\/p>\n

O grupo registrou lucro ajustado<\/a>, que exclui despesas n\u00e3o-recorrentes, de US$ 4,85 bilh\u00f5es em 2020, bem menor do que os US$ 16,5 bilh\u00f5es do ano anterior, refletindo uma queda de 71%, tamb\u00e9m consolidando o pior resultado dos \u00faltimos 15 anos. No \u00faltimo trimestre, a Shell lucrou de forma ajustada apenas US$ 470 milh\u00f5es, frustrando as expectativas dos analistas.<\/p>\n

As contas da Shell sofreram, principalmente durante o segundo trimestre, por conta da deprecia\u00e7\u00e3o do pre\u00e7o do petr\u00f3leo<\/strong>. Em determinado momento de abril, o pre\u00e7o do barril chegou a ficar negativo, com companhias pagando para que pessoas retirassem o combust\u00edvel de seus estoques.<\/p>\n

No terceiro trimestre, a Shell conseguiu voltar ao cen\u00e1rio positivo, seguindo as movimenta\u00e7\u00f5es da commodity<\/strong><\/a>. O pre\u00e7o do Brent e de outros contratos, entretanto, continua consideravelmente aqu\u00e9m do que era visto no per\u00edodo pr\u00e9-pandemia.<\/p>\n

O diretor-executivo (CEO)<\/a> da Shell, Ben van Beurden, descreveu, em comunicado, que 2020 foi um ano anormal. “Tomamos a\u00e7\u00f5es dif\u00edceis, mas decisivas, e demonstramos uma entrega operacional altamente resiliente. Apesar de preju\u00edzo, Shell aumenta dividendos<\/h2>\n

Apesar do preju\u00edzo, a Shell optou por aumentar, pela segunda vez em alguns meses, o dividendos distribu\u00eddos aos seus acionistas. No total, os proventos aumentaram em 4%, saindo de 16,65 centavos de d\u00f3lar por a\u00e7\u00e3o para 17,35 centavos.<\/p>\n

A decis\u00e3o da Shell em aumentar o valor distribu\u00eddo vem em meio a uma maior tentativa das grandes companhias de petr\u00f3leo em conquistarem a confian\u00e7a dos acionistas. A empresa afirmou tamb\u00e9m que reduziu sua d\u00edvida l\u00edquida de US$ 75 bilh\u00f5es para US$ 4 bilh\u00f5es durante o \u00faltimo ano.<\/p>\n

A Shell<\/strong> se afirma otimista para 2021, acreditando que o valor do petr\u00f3leo, principalmente do futuro Brent, deve voltar a se valorizar.<\/p>\n
